Hello, my name is David Douglas, MD of Ebow and I'd love to tell you about Ebow's sponsorship of the Museum of Literature Ireland...
Every so often I take stock of the digital marketing industry.
I did this a lot during the pandemic. Particularly over the lack of quality content and design, the lack of trust in what information people were consuming and the task of getting people to believe information that was peer reviewed and approved by experts. As a partner agency for the HSE during the pandemic, this was paramount to our work.
When I asked myself “What do I trust?” I answered myself with “I trust books”. Books are something that you use when trying to convince someone something is true, something is researched and something has a mark of approval from a literary or educational source. From the Bible to the Safe Cross Code we have developed a society based on trust of the written word. And how's it going?
Sadly, I think the digital marketing industry has eroded that trust and misplaced the importance in books, writers and artistic genius by replacing them with revenue focussed algorithms.
If we forget about books, if we forget about their reliability, the work that goes into them and the differences they make, have made and should continue to make then where do we go?

In order to confirm our agency's commitment to quality, authoritative and trustworthy content we felt that sponsoring the Museum of Literature Ireland would reinforce, and hopefully, re-invigorate people who might have forgotten to trust in books and, encourage them to read more.

Unlike a Tweet,
books won't disappear.
Unlike a rumour,
books won't disappear.
Unlike so many other things in the last 2 years, book won't disappear.
Nor should they.
